Junior Golf 2007

The Junior Golf starts on Friday 11th May.

The Golf Foundation no longer sponsors Scottish clubs for coaching, however we have received a donation from Killin Keepfitters that will pay for a lot of the coaching provided this year, but not all of it - so if anybody would like to make a donation to Junior Golf please either put it in the junior bottle on the bar or contact me.

Category 1 & 2 players will be expected to be ready to tee off at 5pm on junior nights - playing 18 holes when light permits. Category 3 players will receive coaching at 5.15pm before going out on the course to play 9 holes. Category 4 players will receive coaching at 5.45pm (this might be delayed depending on numbers in category 3), they will then play the 9 hole clubgolf course. Beginners should start at 6pm, initially they will be coached by our resident qualified volunteer coaches.

There will be no Junior Golf on fridays before an Open - please check the fixture list.

I would like to remind parents and juniors that we expect the juniors to behave at all times whilst on the club premises, no football shirts are allowed, category 1 & 2 players are expected to wear collared shirts, shoes used on the course should be removed before entering the clubhouse and any junior disobeying Junior organisers/helpers can and will be barred from the club.

Juniors must be at least 8 years old to attend Junior night - this does not mean that they cannot join the club and be taken round the course at any other time by an adult.

If anyone can spare a few hours to walk round with the juniors please let me know - if you are not a golfer, you can still be of help with some of the younger ones.
